Genysys Group Names Management Professional Kathleen Fariss as Chief Operating Officer
CEO says Fariss Will Focus on Capacity-Building as the Company Enters a New Phase of Growth and Positioning
YORBA LINDA, Calif. – The Genysys Group is proud to announce the selection of management and leadership professional Kathleen Fariss to lead the company’s internal operations and capacity-building efforts as Chief Operating Officer.
Fariss joins the company’s leadership team as COO at a pivotal moment for Genysys, a consultancy that—in addition to executive coaching, leadership search and placement, succession planning and other services—has formulated a combination of assessment and visioning tools to help clients with their strategic, long-term objectives.
Next year will mark The Genysys Group’s tenth anniversary, and CEO Priscilla Rose said that Fariss’ role as COO is vital to the company’s increased operational demands and forward momentum as that milestone approaches.
“It is critical to have the right team in place as we move into our next phase,” she said. “At Genysys, the right combination of people skills with an understanding of an organization’s technical side is so important, and Kathleen really has that combination. Ours is a relational business, and she brings to our company a high level of experience and a deep sense of interpersonal connections. We are so excited to have her join the team.”

Fariss praised The Genysys Group for practicing a unique approach to organizational transformation not found in other consulting firms. A graduate of the University of La Verne (M.S. in Leadership and Management with an emphasis in Organizational Development; B.S. in Organizational Management), Fariss brings to Genysys a diverse portfolio of work experience, including more than 15 years in fundraising strategy, management, sales, and business development in the non- and for-profit sectors.
Most recently, Fariss worked for Claremont Graduate University in several management and planning roles, including Director of Events and Stewardship, Associate Dean of the Drucker School of Management, and Associate Provost for Academic Administration. Fariss also has served in other development, communications, and troubleshooting roles for municipal, county, and higher education institutions including Cal Poly Pomona, UC Riverside, the County of Riverside, and the city of Fontana.
The breadth of her experience with a wide variety of organizations and operations made her the ideal candidate for the new COO role, Rose said.
